Kellogg's Mediterranean Vegan Pita Burger Served with Spicy Lime Sauce

Servings: 12

Ingredients

  9 slices White Bread

  3 Tbs Tahini

  6 Tbs Garlic Cloves

  3 oz Lime Juice

  5 oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  Salt to Taste

  Freshly Ground Pepper to Taste

  2 Tbs Sesame Seeds

  12 each Burgers Morningstar Farms® Grillers® Vegan

  12 each Pitas

  2 each Romaine Lettuce Heads

  1/2 tsp Fresh Mint Leaves

  12 Tbs Sun Dried Tomatoes

Directions

1. Tear white bread into chunks. Put the bread, tahini, garlic and lime juice in a food processor and process into a coarse paste. Gradually add olive oil during processing. Transfer garlic spread to a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Mix in sesame seeds.

2. Saute vegan burgers per instructions until browned on both sides. Remove and cut burgers in half.

3. Cut each pita in half and then open up to make pockets for burgers. Add shredded lettuce, burger half and a spoonful of garlic-lime sauce into each pita half. Top pita spread with fresh mint, sun dried tomatoes and serve.
