KRAFT RECIPE MAKERS Sweet & Sour Chicken

For authentic sweet and sour chicken flavor with homemade freshness, say so long to take-out and hello to KRAFT RECIPE MAKERS.

Ingredients

  1-1/2 cups long-grain white rice, uncooked

  1 pkg (14.8 oz.) KRAFT RECIPE MAKERS Sweet & Sour Chicken

  1-1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

  1 red pepper, coarsely chopped

  1 small red onion, coarsely chopped

  1 can (8 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained

COOK rice as directed on package, omitting salt.

MEANWHILE, stir-fry chicken in half the Simmer Sauce in large skillet until done.

ADD vegetables and remaining Simmer Sauce to skillet; stir-fry 2 to 4 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender.

STIR in Finishing Sauce and pineapple; stir-fry 1 to 2 min. or until heated through. Serve over rice.

Substitute: Substitute beef, pork or shrimp for the chicken.

Special Extra: Garnish with PLANTERS Cashews or Sliced Almonds, and sliced green onions.

Variation: Omit cut-up chicken breasts. Cook vegetables in all the Simmer Sauce as directed. Stir in 1 lb. cooked breaded chicken tenders; continue as directed.
