Kellogg's® Rice Krispies Treats® Flags

Prep Time: 40 minutes

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  3 Tbs margarine or butter

  1 pkg (10 oz about 40) marshmallows

  

  4 cups miniature marshmallows

  6 cups Rice Krispies®

  Prepared blue frosting

  Prepared red frosting

  Star-shaped candy sprinkles

Directions

1. In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minute. Stir mixture until smooth.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Allow to cool. Cut into 8 rectangles for flags.

4. Decorate using frosting and star-shaped candy sprinkles. Best if served same day.

Microwave cooking times may vary.

CONVENTIONAL DIRECTIONS: Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Follow steps 2 through 4 above.Note For best results, use fresh marshmallows.

1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows.

Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.

Store no more than two days in airtight container.
