All Fired Up Wasabi Sesame Fries

East meets West in this spicy little dish that blazes new ground for the fry. If you’re hosting a gathering, serve it as an appetizer, small plate or side. The surprising blend of flavors is sure to dazzle, while piquing your guests’ taste for adventure.

Ingredients

  1 package CravOn™ Diamond Cut Fries

  1 1/2 tsp black sesame seeds

  Wasabi peas (optional)

  Firecracker Seasoning

  3/4 tsp dried cilantro

  3/4 tsp dried orange peel

  1/2 tsp 5-spice powder

  3/4 tsp salt

  1/2 tsp sugar

  1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper

  Hoisin Ketchup

  3 oz ketchup

  1 3/4 oz hoisin sauce

  3/4 tsp chili oil

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Blend together the firecracker seasoning ingredients in a spice grinder or with a mortar and pestle. Set aside.

Whisk together the ketchup, hoisin sauce and chili oil in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Bake CravOn Diamond Cut Fries for 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden. See recommended cooking instructions. Toss with firecracker seasoning. Transfer to a warm dinner plate and garnish with black sesame seeds and wasabi peas, if desired. Serve with hoisin ketchup for dipping.
